Payment Via American Express

Post by ForumAdmin » Tue Nov 20, 2007 12:53 pm

Exetel ceased offering payment via American Express in early 2005. Since then we have reviewed that decision each year. There is a possibility that we could again offer this facility if enough people are interested, and providing we can get a realistic service charge.

To assist us in making this decision would you please indicate whether you would prefer to use American Express rather than your current payment option.

Yes I would prefer to use Amex BUT what will be the charges to customers be for using it? A monthly charge or a % basis?

Until I know these facts I am unable to vote in the poll.

No I wouldn't use American Express, I use Mastercard.

Have just finished a trip to WA and return, it was intersting to see that many of the businesses were either refusing American Express or adding a 3% surcharge to American Express transactions. I used to have an A E card but found it uncompetitive and had too many additional charges. Give them the flick.

Amex Payments

I really think in this day and age that all credit/debit cards should be accepted in regards of a payment facility.
As we are in the "Hi Tech" age, therefore we should be incorporating it within all the business systems.
Extra charges are the card owners decision if you dont want the extra charges you dont use that system.

Assume the cost was the same as using a Visa or Master card.

If AMEX was available and there were no payment charges attached for using it to settle payments then I would use it

I get bonuses on my Amex, a competetive interest rate, no annual fee... Of course I'd like to use it!

This poor feeble old soul doesn't qualify for an Amex card, do whatever is best for Exetel.

I voted yes, I would use. But this is provided there are no extra charges.

I would actually prefer Diner's card, as this is my emplorers corporate credit card. Would save me having to manually claiming my internet access for support purposes.
