Hi,

Good to see that replacing the sim did work today.
Please let me know if you have any problems with the service.

Thank You

Come home this afternoon, decided to check the mail to see if the SIM has arrived. To my amazement, it has.

Came home. Popped in it, no go. Tried the old one again, still no go.

Then, out of desperation, decided to do some old skool RTFM. Rang the number as instructed, and violia! In five minutes I was transported back to the 21st Century.

Thanks Exetel!

PS I'll be posting back the "defective" SIM on Monday.

Ok.

It appears that GPRS had not been enabled on my new SIM.

There's no GPRS icon. Can't get GPRS to connect ever. (tried phone, PDA, Laptop Dialup, Moto phone tools)... Multiple suburbs. It seems that GPRS is just not on.

When I tried to request settings from wireless.vodafone.com.au, it says something like "tac not found", and config SMS never arrives.

Same with http://motorolaaus.wdsglobal.com/motorolalam/ - SMS never arrives. Wonder if this is related.

I'll try to submit a fault ticket.

Please keep me posted.

Hello,

I can confirm that the GPRS service was provisioned on the sim card.
I've taken the service off and installed it again which may help.

Thank You

After swapping in and out my SIM card a few times, and turning the phone on and off a few times, the GPRS symbol miraculously appeared, and everything works!
