If you've looked out of a window where you live recently and saw heavy rain followed by odd behaviour/no behaviour from your ADSL service you are advised that Telstra is under extreme pressure to remedy an escalating number of line and exchange faults caused by weather conditions.

The situation is explained here:

http://www.telstrawholesale.com/network ... ptions.htm

There may be delays in excess of a week in restoring some services.

There is nothing that Exetel can do other than log a line fault on your behalf with Telstra if you have lost your service.

It would be appreciated if you could content yourself with logging a line fault, getting a fault ticket number and waiting for the automated fault status updates that will be sent to your designated contact telephone number.

Repeatedly calling/emailing Exetel support is not going to achieve anything if you have an active fault ticket.
