naked adsl2+ activation fee

Post by dragon » Sat Apr 12, 2008 4:57 pm

hi
i just logged into user facilities and it says that on the naked adsl2+ that the line activation is $0.
so does that mean the line activation charge for exetel adsl1 to naked adsl2+ has been removed?

thanks

Where is this? Are you talking about the "Cost of plan change" under ADSL > Change my service?

yes.
in user facilities adsl => change my service
bottom of page for the naked adsl plans "line activation charge" is $0?
so plan change is now free from adsl1 to naked adsl2+?

this is the screen from my user facilities.

OK. I've found this post here that states:

paulp wrote:If you are out of contract you can move to the NONPONE plan under no contract period with no activation charge for as long as you like.
So perhaps ADSL1->Naked ADSL2+ is now similar.

You should just check in the screen after you click "Apply" that the line activation charge is still confirmed as $0.

i just wanted to make sure it wasn't a typo and then after i apply i get hit with the activation fee.
Hopefully an admin can confirm if this is true or a typo :D

edit: i just tried pressing the apply button and now it says activation is $110. so it's either a typo on the change service menu.. or they haven't updated to say $0 yet.

It is definitely $0.00 if you are out of contract.

Perhaps you are still in contract?

In any event I've asked the sysadmin responsible to check.

i've been out of contract for over 1 year now.
Initial Contract End Date: 2006-08-15

so i assume it just hasn't been updated yet?
should i wait for it to be fixed before i apply?

For ADSL1 out of contract customer, it is $110.00 to change to Naked ADSL2. There is a typo on that page. I have fixed. Registration form is correct, which is $110.00.

For ADSL1 out of contract customer, it is $0.00 to change to Including Phone ADSL2.

For Including Phone ADSL2 out of contract customer, it is $0.00 to change to Naked ADSL2.

For Naked ADSL2, it is free to change to any other Naked ADSL2 plan.

Anyone know if there is a cutover outage in switching from Exetel Incphone ADSL2+ to Exetel Nonphone (Naked) ADSL2+? I assume since it is all on the same DSLAM that my plan will simply be changed on the 1st of the month, and the dialtone will dissappear at some point after that with no loss of service?
