NSW ADSL1 and ADSL2 down

Post by thermalben » Thu Jun 26, 2008 2:18 pm

I have over ten NSW ADSL1 and ADSL2+ lines, and they're all unavailable at the moment. Is there a network issue?

There was a brief drop on the connections (due to DNS) but services are restored.

Please power cycle your equipment if you are unable to browse

Its not a network issue but a router issue which is dropping DNS and all other services on exetel.

Im on an exetel connection, but cant bring up http://www.exetel.com.au, forum.exetel.com.au, or either of the DNS Servers. But i can see these from work's connection on a different ISP. Im posting this from work's connection.

It appears there's a router blocking all exetel traffic onto the exetel servers - whatever the hop is after 1.4.96.58.exetel.com.au [58.96.4.1]

Ive got net functionality back by using non exetel dns servres, but i cant connect to the exetel web site or the forums on my connection from home.

Here's a tracert to http://www.exetel.com.au

tracert http://www.exetel.com.au

Hope that assists in finding the error.

Cant even use the phone number to log a fault. When you press 1 for technicial support the phone goes dead and the same for any other options on it.

ADSL1 services are back up. All ADSL2+ services ( I have five) are still down, even after power-cycling.

Yep - same in Winmalee and Blaxland NSW (friend on Blaxland also out).

Have connectivity back - but no DNS, or access to exetel resources. Connected via VPN to work network.

The graphs between Exetel and the Internet show a major dip at 14:00 hours.

I'm still out here - ADSL1 at Warilla NSW. (Currently connected by Bigpond Wireless).
