Like others have reported, my ADSL2+ is not completely down, and I can connect to my home server from outside exetel's network. But it seems to have no working DNS - it can't make outgoing connections, and times out when I try to connect to services that do reverse DNS lookups (ssh, smtp, imap). I also can't ping it.

Same for me. ADSL2 has been down since 2pm. Have done power off boot with no luck. Can't ping exetel.com.au!

Some more messages on ADSL2 Network Issues forum - is anyone at Exetel looking into this?
My ADSL2+ has been down 80 minutes.

You should find that your connection is synced, but you cant resolve any host names.

try to ping 203.147.133.62 (forums.whirlpool.net.au).

If you get a response then it shows your connection is up, and that DNS is the issue outlined earlier in the thread
