Work on network core will affect Internet access Wed 17 Sep

Core and border routers at the Exetel 'A' Sydney POP will be upgraded
and replaced.

Impact
======

There will be two or more outages of external Internet access of up to
one hour between 6am and 8am Wed 17 Sep
Customers may lose some or all Internet access during
this time.

Customer circuits will not be disconnected. Internet access will
automatically resume when the work is complete.

Work was completed at 7:45am with two incidences requiring further troubleshooting:

Some route issues were encountered that prevented LNS's reaching the radius servers. Some customers may have had difficulty connecting between 8am and 8:30 am.

Several servers including the free web site hosting server and the POP3 exemail.com.au had stale ARP caches that prevented some customers accessing those services until 9:45am.

this still seems to be an issue. What is the latest update. I'm on Optus adsl2. Not Internet at all from 12 noon. Sorry for breif mess have had to do this via my iPhone

Your issue is unrelated to this work. Anyone with connection or other issues, please report them via normal fault reporting channels.
