Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
FYI. Would have been good to see Exetel's services given a mention here, with a working application available to boot

So hopefully something will be seen soon...!!!We will shortly release a 'perfect' VoIP over mobile application.
I have been using our beta version for a year now with no problems.

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
I am the final QA - if I like the quality and ease of use we will make it available.

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
I thought the original one was good enough if only it could produce DTMF tones for accessing voicemail etc. As it stands it can't be used to handle Exetel's own DID voicemail system so not really good enough.

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
I am now using the final beta version and I, and no other test users, have any quality issues.
There is some feature discussion but we will probably be able to deliver before Christmas....if everything goes to plan.

Great to hear! Looking forward to its release!

Are any of the test users using a Samsung mobile? The previous release wouldn't work on Samsung Symbian-powered mobiles.ForumAdmin wrote:I am now using the final beta version and I, and no other test users, have any quality issues.

What about Android?ForumAdmin wrote:We will provide a Symbian version as well as a windows and iphone version.oldman wrote: Are any of the test users using a Samsung mobile? The previous release wouldn't work on Samsung Symbian-powered mobiles.
Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
Some (maybe all) Samsung Symbian-powered phones have 'gremlins' that are not with the other Symbian-powered mobiles. What works on a Nokia Symbian S60v3 Device can fail on the Samsung Symbian S60v3 Device. Two examples - ExeVoIP (currently available in the public domain) & V Phone (by Matrix Consultants).ForumAdmin wrote:We will provide a Symbian version as well as a windows and iphone version.oldman wrote: Are any of the test users using a Samsung mobile? If the private-beta SIP cleint is untried on Samsung Symbian-powered phones I will hedge my bets 50-50 that it would run into major issues when it is released.
