The scheduled next release has failed QA and Raymond will provide it "shortly".

The planned completion date for this service has been put back 2 weeks to 30th March 2009.

I have been using the later version of the fring replacement software and find it simpler to use than fring and with no lag for Sydney to Sydney calls.

I used my mobile to call Steve's mobile in Sri lanka (he's been there this week) and there is the usual international lag but the voice quality was perfect.

The next release will reduce the lag on such calls further and I'm personally, as a user, very satisfied with the in house development to date.

I am using a Nokia N96.

Yes indeed :D We could hold a "naming competition" for the "baby". Now, where was that Suggestion Box again?

VOIM = voice over internet mobile (or perhaps VoIP over internet mobile)

Possible names based on VOIM:
eVOIM
EVOIM
exeVOIM
eXeVOIM
ExeVOIM
Exetel VOIM

Alternately, any of the above with VOM (VoIP over mobile) instead of VOIM, eg eVOM
(similar to peterh_oz's suggestion)

Alternately, following peterh_oz's suggestion, any of the above with VOMP (VoIP over mobile phone) instead of VOIM, eg eVOMP

Looking at getting a new handset and am looking at the 5800 from nokia. Am I correct in assuming it should run this app fine essentially having all the features of S60 v3 but with 'improvements'? Also wondering how it will function with a touchscreen interface rather than a keypad. Anyone tested it able to confirm/deny/inform?
