Downtime: Exemail mail store - Wednesday 11/03/2009 06:30am

Post by danielc » Mon Mar 09, 2009 11:41 am

Event: The exemail mail storage and POP3 server has been scheduled for a downtime,
in order to add an additional 4GB of RAM. This downtime will also include a
filesystem scan of the main mail store.

Impact: During this window exemail emails will not be available for retrieval. No mail
will be lost, and outgoing mail will still function normally.

Start time: Wednesday 11/03/2009 06:30
Finish time: Wednesday 11/03/2009 08:30

Regards,
Daniel C

Everything appears to be fine. Can you try again?

Server's currently trying to absorb 2 hours worth of mail it did not get. This has upped the load on it a... touch and as such it's running a touch slow.

It may (?) be "back up" (as stated), but it is certainly not working correctly.

As a test, I sent a message to myself at 10.34am this morning and STILL as at 11.36am I have not "received" that test-email back to myself, even though I have submitted numerous "Send/Receive" from my email client.

There may be (sure) a backlog because of the extended downtime this morning, but 2 hours between send and receive is a VERY LONG time.

I'd check your spam folder (or whatever your client may use). The email arrived with an approximate delay of 8 minutes.
