OFF PEAK DOWNLOAD INACCURATE METER USAGE ISSUE

Post by nozila » Wed Jul 01, 2009 3:45 pm

Hi,

I would like to know if someone from exetel could please clarify this for me. I have just looked at my off peak downloads, which rolled over to the new month (1/7) 13 hours ago and it shows that I have downloaded 11gb. ?????? Whilst I know that I have definately only downloaded 2gb MAX before I turned off my router/modem.

Can this be looked into please as this has never happened before.

Thank you

Duc

Unless your connection miraculously became capable of speeds of 1.9GB in 2 minutes, it's an error. I've asked our developers to look into it.]
It's likely related to the recent change to metering in your local time.

I was incorrectly charged for 2095.87mb over my quotta ($104.79) just yesterday because of an error related to this I think.

Still waiting on a response from Exetel support!

My peak usage for today is also incorrect. We have not hit peak time here in SA and I already have 0.5GB downloaded.

I suspect this might have something to do with the recent changes to peak/off-peak times.

The changes to peak or off peak shouldnt be so drastic. Ditman1 has stated he would get it looked into, I hope this gets resolved very soon. Being overcharged or having downloads inaccurate isnt good.

Also, I noticed that whilst I was surfing and downloading (50mb files) that it showed an increase in my off peak downloads on my mini gadget meter. very bizzare.

I had this problem as well, but looks like it is fixed - my 30+ GB for the 1st of July is now back down around the 3GB mark.

Thanks for sorting it out.

Just had a look at my usage meter and it looks like it has been fixed all readings as they should be.

I will keep an eye on it but looks good at the moment.

Thanks Exetel.

I haven't been refunded the $104 that is owed to me... so my issue certainly is not 'fixed'

I'm wondering if anyone else is still having problems? I seem to be using much more than last month still and at 2 hours before peak time starts for today, I've already used 22MB.
