Not sure why you are asking about 10/12 Gb when your post provides a link to the current plan which has 12Gb peak

Go by the web site figures. These were updated on 9 August and so are more recent than the forum posts (which are not even official and often are prefaced by things like "we are *thinking* of introducing the following plans..."). So TL-BA currently has 12GB peak quota

Just wanted to get some advise before changing plans please.
At present I'm on plan TELE with 8GB peak and 54GB off peak for $40 plus admin fee of $3.00.
From reading the comments it seems I must change plans myself in my user section and it appears I would be better off but I have a couple of questions.
I get the Pioneer discount each month so will I continue to get that discount if I change to TL-AB - giving me much better limits for the same amount. I'm only on a disability pension and can't afford to change plans and then find out I lose that credit.
Also I see no mention of the Admin fee so is that not charged on the new accounts and if that is the case and I can still get the Pioneer Discount I would consider paying the extra 2 dollars to boost me up a level to TL-BA with the higher speed [$45] . I know with that one I must pay an extra $25 for change of plan.
Would appreciate any help you can give me...Pat

This is just from what I have seen regarding the Pioneer discount elsewhere on these forums, but I understand that it gets applied to any plan that you are currently on (i.e. it is a customer discount, not a plan discount)

Thank you, so I'll look at changing then. Was going to do it last month but thought I may have been included in those that didn't have to do anything.

As to the admin fee , I still have not been able to get a clear idea on that. Is there no admin fee added to the new plans making the price quoted the total amount?...Pat

Correct. Though for an official answer to this, and the pioneer discount, you can email billing@exetel.com.au

An ADSL1 modem will still work on an ADSL2+ connection and sync to a maximum of 8Mbps. For many people this means their ADSL1 modem is capable of getting the full-speed out of their connection.

I'm not sure about the ability to switch to a TL-BC plan though. Perhaps you could email residentialsupport@exetel.com.au for a response to this. However ADSL2+ will often be much more cost effective, and without any additional hardware requirements, so you probably want to examine these plans first before making your decision

I'll change over before the end of month to take advantage of the benefits of the new plans.
I just flicked over to the discussion regarding the pioneer discount and feel compeled to echo the sentiments expressed there by saying a heart felt 'thank you' to Exetel. Consumers are used to telecommunications companies (and banks) as simply rip off merchants, itś nice to know that there is a silver lining! I was recommended to go with Exetel by a friend and have never been disappointed.

can 100% positively confirm that you will NOT lose your pioneer discount and the $3.00 ADMIN FEE is removed.
i changed at start of this month and found this to be so.
