VoIP Issues
There have been some quality issues being experienced since some changes to our SIP server some 2 weeks ago.
The issues have been registration with device reporting "authfailure", call drop outs and one-way audio.
Pleased be advised the engineers are working on them.
We know the cause and should have some resolutions soon.
We don't think they are specific issues related to any particular modem/ATA .

Thanks for the acknowledgement. My VoIP setup failed a few times over the 2 weeks with auth failure. I note with my Billion 7401VGPM that once auth failure occured it stopped periodic sip registration until i manually sync'd. Is there any way at the Exetel end to determine auth failure or similar conditions? If so, could an email notification process be put in place. Ideally, this would be done in the router but that's a tall ask for firmware but might be feasible at the VSP end?
Edit: In fact this prompted me to check status and I see once again SIP registration has failed and once it does the Billion stops so inbound DID calls fail thereafter. Here's the latest event log extract -> Nov 05 02:21:32 home.gateway:sip_SipTransactionManager_?:none: SIP Invalid Username/Password for phone 03XXXXXXXX.

I am currently having problems with one way audio to mobile phones only which started around 2 weeks ago.
All was working fine before the 21st of Oct. Is it the same problem?

A fix for the one-way audio issue will be applied to the SIP server tomorrow morning.

I'm still getting "auth failure" errors and having the VOIP line disconnect. People have been trying to call me and get a busy tone. Are we going to have a fix to this problem soon?

I also had an authfailure @ around 3:00am this morning (nov 7). Victoria server in case that matters.
Billion 7404VNPX.
Have not yet tried the "restart with factory settings and enter settings manually" option yet...

No immediate fix, still experiencing the same problems.(one way voice, call cut outs) I'm going to give a few hours and post back after lunch.

The authfailure issue on my 7404vnpx has been absent for last 2 days, so on the surface that issue seems fixed - thanks (pre-emptively!)
We had/have no issues with call quality or drop-outs (G711u is the codec that all calls seem to negotiate at).
Only outstanding issue for us is not being able to leave messages on answering machines, but I think that is a different topic and I still need to do research & testing on that anyway.
