ADSL2 Plan Changes
We will be changing some parameters of the CURRENT ADSL2 plans and the changes will be back dated to April 1st.
These changes do NOT apply to non-current ADSL2 plans.
The changes are:
1) All plans will have their peak time download allowance increased.
2) All plans will be changed from having an excess charge if a user exceeds their peak period allowance to shaping to 512 kbps down - the shaping period will be 50% of the plan's peak period after which the service will be suspended for the balance of the month unless the customer elects to move to the next plan up.
3) The unlimited off peak period remains as it is.
The changes will be reflected on the web pages and user facilities by COB today and apply from 1st April 2010 in terms of download allowances - and from 1st May in terms of shaping options..

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
when are we going to be told the amount plans are increased, is there going to be an option to keep the excess charges at all?
Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Another positive development. Thank you.
Speaking for myself, I would prefer to pay $0.50 per GB to maintain full ADSL2 speed. Could there be a 'Data Pack' option for those who like to maintain their full speed post-quota (e.g. $5 per +10GB)?

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
As much as I love the 512 shaping for downloads, there _needs_ to be an option to allow full speeds with pay for data blocks at least, if not just excess at 50c / GB.
I take it that uploads are not going to be similarly effected, please advise thanks.
