Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
I think only the Z plans or the most recent plans automatically get these changes.
Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
It seems very clear that the plan change email sent to anyone whom has an interest in plan changes (those that ticked the box), is leading to a whole lot of people being confused.
The message about these changes SHOULD have clearly stated that such changes only apply to certain CURRENT plans and those on other plans will need to change plans in order to gain the benefits of these adjustments. It also needs to be made very clear that there will be an option for people to revert back to the non-shaped option ONCE if required with no penalty.
It would also be appreciated if the $10 plan change fee could be waived in circumstances such as these. This is a very significant change in the plan types available for ADSL2 and many people would be happy to change IF they could understand the message more clearly.
Also, many people post on this thread and other threads without going through and reading all the prior and post responses -- they just answer the first initial post and that's it.
The best way to "fix" this is to ensure that a very clear new message is sent out to everybody whom received the very unclear message.

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Modify the first post to say that it doesn't actually apply to ALL plans and list which plans it does apply to.

Can't find the answer on page 2. I am confused.TerryP wrote:Yes was the answer. Have a look at page two of this thread.Steerpike wrote:Do we have a choice to pay extra for exceeding our peak allocation?
1) Will there be a choice to pay extra money (for exceeding peak allocation) or shaping to 512k? How much will the charges be?
2) I've just logged in to my members facility. I don't see any changes to the offpeak (supposedly unlimited). My plan is still 30Gb Peak and 60Gb Offpeak. Not sure why.
Please advise, thanks!

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
I changed to the D/21NOTEL in november last year does this mean my plan changes to the Z plans or was there already Z plans before the new Z.
Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Your current plan won't change unless you put in a plan change request.Jane’s addiction wrote:I changed to the D/21NOTEL in november last year does this mean my plan changes to the Z plans or was there already Z plans before the new Z.
Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
So the new plan I am interested in is:
Z/20INCTEL $10.00 $55.00 10 gbytes Unlimited = No Limit Shaped to 512kbps (and will turn off shaping option)
My current plan is below:
Plan Type: INC2DSLA
Monthly Access Charge: $55.00
Service Surcharge: $5.00
Peak Download Limit (Mbyte): 8000
Excess Downloads per Gbyte: $3.00
OffPeak Download Limit (Mbyte): 60000
OffPeak Excess Downloads per Gbyte: $3.00
What is this service surcharge? Is this the admin fee per month? Is this included in the new plan per month pricing? This surcharge is not itemised on my invoice separately (See my latest ADSL 2 invoice below). If I change to Z/20INCTEL $55.00, if you include the service surcharge will the plan actually cost me $60 or $55?
Am thinking of changing anyway, but if its really $55 (not $60), then the $10 fee will be recouped within 2 months. Otherwise its an extra fee, where in the past we never payed to change plans on adsl2.
Also if this is a hidden charge, this should be declared as an extra fee per month on the members change plan page!
1 Telephone Line Rental For April 2010 - $15.00 $15.00
1 Monthly Charge On Plan INC2DSLA For April 2010 - $45.00 $45.00
Cheers

You were sent a detailed email in early March advising you that the plan you were on was going to increase by $5.00 from 1st April.
Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Sorry, I am not concerned about the $5 increase in my plan cost, my confusion is around the fact that on the adsl pricing page and the members change plan page, this $5 surcharge is not mentioned.ForumAdmin wrote:majones wrote:So the new plan I am interested in is:

You were sent a detailed email in early March advising you that the plan you were on was going to increase by $5.00 from 1st April.
So to be clear, my main question is, If I choose plan Z/20INCTEL for $55 per month, will it cost me $60 per month once you include the $5 surcharge. Or is the $5 surcharge included in the per month cost?
Cheers

One more time - you were sent a detailed email explaining to you that your plan monthly cost was being increased by $5.00 - no other explanation seems to be required - please re-read that email.
Perhaps we should change the description on the invoice from "surcharge" to April 1 Price Increase?
Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Hmm.
Either I am reading the wrong email or we are talking about 2 completely different things.
extract from email:
This email is to advise you that your current plan will increase by $5.00 from 12.00 am on 1st April 2010
1. As per below, what is the service surcharge? Is this an administration fee?
2. If a plan is advertised as $55 per month, and there is a $5 service surcharge, the plan will cost $60. This should be clearly stated on the website. Is this surcharge included in the advertised per month fee or not?
My current plan is below:
Plan Type: INC2DSLA
Monthly Access Charge: $55.00
Service Surcharge: $5.00

I don't have a problem with this. My monthly access used to be $50 per month, now it is $55. Easy. No issue here.no other explanation seems to be required

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Would moving from NF/21INCTEL to Z/20IncTel or Z/21IncTel, require a new contract period?
Previously I have never had a new contract period from moving plans, I just want to make sure that it won't happen.
