These changes are really getting confusing.
Am I on unlimited or what?

Im on the D/21NOTEL plan and it changed from "no charge" to "unlimited" this month.

Now afaik last month my max download limit for off peak was 89gb as per the "no charge" rules. When I sent an email to exetel they told me that the unlimited means "- There is no limit". Am I on the unlimited plan or what? Just so confusing. Anyways my Service Number: 0297349561.

Previously I have never had a new contract period from moving plans, I just want to make sure that it won't happen.
Yes it would.

Yes it would.
On the plan change form all it says
I agree to new 12 months contact if I apply to change to plan FP-D1 or FP-D2.

On my plan change page it says "++ A new 12 month contract applies to this plan". There is only one plan listed with ++ next to it, so that SHOULD mean none of the other plans include a contract.

I am using Z/20IncTel plan and is reaching 10G in a couple of days. I would like to pay for the excess and not shaped as the kids need to use youtube a lot for the homework and assignment.
Is there a way to apply for not being shaped to 512k? Thanks

Shaping will not start until next month.

The 50 cent charge will apply this month as will the new quotas.

Thanks for given us some notice. This change should be introduced in the coming month not in the current month and backdated. Remember "customer first"

If memory serves me, the volume of ADSL1 subscribers (still, currently) outnumber those fortunate enough to be receiving ADSL2 from Exetel.

Though, if we examine the usage graphs for ADSL1 users, e.g. in NSW, this group appear to consume merely a small ~1200MBPS bandwidth, compared to that very substantial "2300MBPS" that those Optus+PowerTel links, when you total their backhauls, use. :|

This really is the best case I can present for 'Management review'-and with a view to bringing (upwards by 50%, the quotas, via: Shaping?) some commensurate 'improvement' to those ADSL1 included downloads. And if possible resolved in time for May or June: If you look around the Wholesale industry atm AAnet/Internode etc, are doing some creative things re: resold telstra.

I am happy with My ADSL Account Plan as-is, of course, with my "($65)-Access Charge" and "(2:00pm)-Peak Period Option"; perfectly happy to hold on to these 'rewards'. However, I would advocate one simple modification:

512kbps shaping to replace $6.00 please

My current plan is NONPHONE Z and has a $5.00 service surcharge. If I change to Z/20NOTEL or Z/21NOTEL, do they also have a $5 service surcharge in addition to the listed $45 or $50 per month?

Also, if I don't purchase a voip bonus add-on pack, what rates am I charged for SMS, Fax or VoIP with my service?

Thanks

Surcharge is only for old plans. There is still a $1.10 fee for using a credit card.

Australian SMS is $0.5. International rates are are http://www.exetel.com.au/a_sms_availability.php

https://www.exetel.com.au/members/fax_email2fax_faq.php

The cost of sending a fax within Australia is 10 cents per fax and 30 cents per fax for 1300 numbers. The cost of sending an international fax is a timed call to that country.

VOIP prices are listed here: http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-voip-overview.php

I have been a loyal customer for almost 5 years and have no intention on leaving. I was about to change my plan to one of the great current ones on offer. However, i couldn't bring myself to change as i just don't like committing to a 12 month contract. Its not because i want to leave or plan to leave but in this day and age where both the financial and broadband market is rapidly changing it just doesn't with well to be locked in. It is also unusual for exetel to ask customers to commit for long periods unless it is a requirement from their wholesaler.

I totally understand that exetel also needs to look out for its future and has every right to change the way they run their business but i was wondering what your thinking is on introducing a 12 month contract on these new plans?

thanks.

Was just about to upgrade to one of the New ADSL2 plans, and the final prompt is incorrect.

I read it and thought i was signing up to offpeak 512k shaping. I thought I dont want that, and cancelled out. Went to check the front page, and it is "unlimited off peak", 512 shaping for peak downloads over plan limit.

Can we please rectify it.

Thanks, Mike.

It's a condition imposed by the carrier that allows us to make the unlimited offer.
