Location Affected: New South Wales - Multiple suburbs

Event Start Time: 03/12/18 21:45 EDST

Products Impacted : Some Telstra Corporate Data Services

Additional Information: Some customers in Silverwater, Moorebank, Guildford and surrounding area may experience connection issues.

Root cause : Still being investigated.

Estimated Resolution : Our wholesale supplier is unable to provide us with an estimated time of resolution.

Update

Our suppliers Field Operations have tested the fibres from the exchange and have identified a suspected fibre cut in the Liverpool area of Sydney, impacting some of Corporate data services.

Their Fibre crews are being mobilised to the suspected fault location to identify the issue.

No ETR is available at this stage.

Fibre crew still working on the issue onsite and our supplier is unable to confirm an ETR at this stage.

The fiber cables have been delivered to the damage location and the techs have started working on it.

No estimated time of resolution has been provided yet.

Update

The splicing of the faulty fibre cable is still ongoing with no ETA.

Further, Some customers in Prestons, Fairfield East, Chipping Norton and surrounding areas also may experience connectivity issues due to the ongoing outage.

234 of 302 affected fibre pairs have been spliced back together, most of the 17 impacted Exetel customers are now back online.
