Location Affected: Victoria - Port Melbourne

Event Start Time: 17/01/2019 12:05 EDST

Products Impacted : Some AAPT/TPG Corporate Data Services & Residential ADSL services.

Additional Information: Some customers in Melbourne and surrounding area may experience connection issues.

Root cause : Still being investigated. Field Technicians have been dispatched to investigate.

Estimated Resolution : Our wholesale supplier is unable to provide us with an estimated time of resolution.

Update

Our supplier has identified a fiber break and the fiber repair technicians are currently being dispatched to the fault location.

We are unable to provide you with an estimated time of resolution yet.

Our supplier is still in the process of rectifying the service issue and still unable to provide a specific ETR.

Update

Some services have resumed connectivity but our supplier has informed that repair work is still ongoing to restore the damaged fiber cables.

No estimated time of resolution has been provided yet.

Fibre technicians are still working onsite and the wholesale supplier is unable to provide us with an Estimated Time of Restoration at this stage

Update

Fibre technicians have completed the hauling of new fibre cable and some part of the splicing has been completed too. Estimated time of restoration is 12pm, 18/01/2019.

Our supplier advises that the outage has been successfully restored.

Kindly power cycle your modem/router and test the service.
