Fairplay?

Post by magenb » Tue Feb 12, 2008 11:58 am

I know there was a service when I was on ADSL 1 to help with lag times for gamers. Does this service exist for ADSL2 customers? If so can I get a link to more information about it, cheers.

Popular games and those with known ports are assigned bandwidth in excess of the peak traffic volume.

So it does still exist and ADSL2 users can get on to it?

Is there a link to the rules and instructions on how to get on that service?

It is automatic for all ADSL and ADSL2 customers.

You might be referring to the Fair Play option, available under the ADSL section of your Member Facilities.

Yes, that is all pretty much automatic now. It would only make a very, very small difference if there were a lot of contention within the Exetel network.
