Dial-up when travelling

Some ISP's broadband plans include a dial-up service that can be used when travelling etc. Does Exetel have this?

Nope. At one point one of the Exetel agents was offering dial-up - http://www.auzzie.net/.

Otherwise you can use one of the low end HSPA plans - http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-hspa-pricing.php, but there is the initial cost of a modem to consider. This is essentially dialup internet via the faster 3g phone network.

Dial up is a thing of the past. My first option when away from how is to look for free Wireless access, you would be suprised the amount of open WiFi access points are around. I also have an Exetel HSPA account for back-up as well as my Exetel Mobile-X (Vodafone) Plan with the optional 200MB Data add-on.

There are more cost effective and practical options with Exetel options than Dial-up!
The views I present are that of my own and NOT of any organisation I may belong to.
