Query regarding the plans for sale

Post by WaKKo » Sun Jan 17, 2010 7:59 pm

I have been with my current Exetel plan for 2 years now. I recently checked the new plans and they are far superior to the one I have. So, I am going to change my plan.

Current Plan:
Plan Type: INCPHONE A
Monthly Access Charge: $65.00
Peak Download Limit (Mbyte): 18000
Peak Period Option: N/A (Offpeak is only 2am-12noon)
Excess Downloads per Gbyte: $3.00
OffPeak Download Limit (Mbyte): 54000
OffPeak Excess Downloads per Gbyte: $3.00
Service Line Speed: 18000/900

I am thinking of going to :
NF/22IncTel $60.00 $30.00 $35.00 30 gbytes + $0.50/GB thereafter 60 gbytes + $0.50/GB thereafter
as is same cost, but more GB's and less cost if I go over

But looking at this one:
NF/21IncTel $60.00 $30.00 $25.00 5 gbytes + $0.50/GB thereafter No Charge
seems to make more sense, incase I don't use my limit, I save $$

Question
-Where is the information regarding changing plans?
-what does "No Charge"[/b] mean on the offpeak plan?
-Will I be locked into the new plan for #x amount of months?
-Can I change up and down later?

You can change to plans within each group (Optus, Powertel, ADSL1 at a given speed) without penalty or a contract extension. The options available are shown at https://www.exetel.com.au/members/chang ... e_plan.php in the user facility. For no charge, read condition 9.1.d at http://www.exetel.com.au/a_acceptable_use.php

What does the "no charge" mean in the advertised

NF/21IncTel $60.00 $30.00 $25.00 5 gbytes + $0.50/GB thereafter No Charge

?

Does that mean no charge in offpeak period?

No charge for off-peak, but it is not No Limit - see the Unfair User clause referred to. You must keep your "fair" status, which is up to 60 GB and perhaps more.
