Webmail - HTML support
Webmail - HTML support
Hello Exetel,
Thanks for the great service. I was wondering if you guys could please install the following plugin for Squirrel (webmail):
http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=209
This would allow us to all send HTML based emails via webmail, something I believe is desperately lacking currently.
Cheers,
Brad

I've said this before, so won't go over it again, as you wear out fighting Microsoft - but are you aware that HTML email breaches web standards, is usually inappropriate, and is the key technology on which most scams are built?

Hmm, sorry if you've already been over this.Dazzled wrote:I've said this before, so won't go over it again, as you wear out fighting Microsoft - but are you aware that HTML email breaches web standards, is usually inappropriate, and is the key technology on which most scams are built?
Don't care if it breaches standards, as long as it works (which it seems to, as almost everyone uses it).
If people are careful, they shouldn't have to worry about scam emails.
How about using something like 'AtMail'?

I hope you don't use Windows, and turn off images. You can put protection onto a server.
Re: Webmail - HTML support
So the long and the short of it, is it's not going to happen, right?

There lies half the problem, its doesn't work well in a lot of apps.Yabbie wrote:Don't care if it breaches standards, as long as it works
Anyway HTML email is there for spammers and scammers.
Send a pdf or link to a HTML if you have to but please dump it in emails, don't give the crooks a leg up.

me is that it's almost 5 years old and the version of FCKEditor that comes with it has had several security
fixes since then. Also, if I remember correctly, it's API has changed which means that wedgeing it back in might be problematic at best.
