New $50 ADSL2+ Plan

Post by pinoyako07 » Mon Feb 14, 2011 11:27 pm

I was checking to see if there were any changes to the telstra adsl2+ plans and to my huge surprise there is, $50 for 200G. Is this correct?? Will existing members be able to go onto this new plan soon. Thanks

It's a promotional plan made possible by wholesale discounts against very tough sign up numbers and will have a limited offer period.

If you read this:

https://johnl.blogs.exetel.com.au/

it will explain some of the difficulties of providing such plans.

It will also be offered to current ADSL1 customers as an upgrade on a new 12 month contract.

I am on the adsl2+ plan when it first come out last year for $68/month. Is there any chance for people like me that are already on the adsl2+ plan to chance to this cheaper plan. Even if it means that we would have to sign up again. Thanks

It appears in my user facilities, but priced at $60 a month instead of $50 for 200GB.

There is a problem with what is showing in the member facilities change plan, mine was showing the TCV20-REGION-200 for $60 as an option but not the TCV20-200 for $50. When I clicked on the Apply button on the TCV20-REGION-200, another page opened with all ADSL plans as options including the TCV20-200 for $50, but not the TCV20-REGION-200, so I selected the TCV20-200 and with a New 12 months contract there is a Cost of Change Plan of $0.

I have had confirmation that I have signed up for the TCV20-200 for $50. Happy days.

Thanks for that redo. Happy days indeed :)

EDIT: Just tried it - nope, doesn't work for me. Perhaps there is a different plan/price for regional customers (hence the "REGION" in the name) ??

Region 2 and 3 are $10.00 more per month.

Offer will end very soon.

I'm trying to change to the new plan, on the first page it tells me it cost $0 to change, on the second page, it says $40??

If you select New 12 months Contract (at the top of the page) the cost will change to $0.
