Additional Plans

We are in the process of finalising some additional/replacement plans which are, in some ways, better structured than the plans they replace.

They will progressively appear on the web site from COB today and that process will, hopefully, be completed by this time tomorrow.

Due to the Easter and Anzac Day holidays they may not be on the User Facilities until next month but we will try to put them up by the end of next week.

The new plans have no peak/off peak.

For new users there is no activation fee for ADSL2 plans via the Optus infrastructure and also a very low activation fee for the Telstra plans if a customer is transferring from a non-Telstra service using independently owned DSLAMs - such as some customers of iinet, TPG, Internode etc.

The new plans are on the Exetel web site so you can check whether one of the new plans will better suit you.

Thought it was time i updated myself with the latest plans.

Is it correct that the only Telstra ADSl2 plan available for current members is a PAYU plan ? This is the only plan I have in the members facility.

I did email support about the TCV20-200 but was advised that is for new users only.

New plans will replace the old plans on member facility but will take some time. This is clearly indicated in the initial post...............

Thanks I am aware that member facilities take a while to be updated.

So i went into the normal residential plans, not logged in as a member, and saw that there are only two plans stated for Telstra supplied equipment. One which I have in my member facilities and the other one which I stated in my post will not be available to me, as advised from support. Hence my question.

TCV20-200 Is available for existing customers who are using an ADSL1 service with Exetel at present.

You are on a TE-2D ADSL2 plan and hence, it is not available for you at this stage........

Just wondering if the new ADSL1 plans on the web site are coming to everyone's Member's Facilities?
There's been a 1c change on the PAYU plans but all the others have stayed the same. I'm in Northern NSW.

At 7.30pm on 11/05/2011, my Member's Facilities page is the first image and the web site is the second.

I believe you are referring to;
We have made several major improvements to the range of wireless broadband plans including zero month contracts and zero application/sim/delivery charges. All of these changes will be available on the user facilities before the end of the first week of May.

We continue to exhaustively test Exetel’s mobile broadband speeds against all other suppliers and continue to find that Exetel’s version of mobile broadband based on the Optus 3G network consistently exceeds all other suppliers (including those of Optus, Virgin and its other wholesale suppliers) as well as being aster than VHA services. In some locations a Telstra service will be faster than Exetel’s but in most places Exetel will also be faster than a Telstra service in side by side testing.
This will be available once everything is finalized.....

Sorry but this isn't good enough, there are ppl here wanting to upgrade there plans because there going over there download limit or want faster speeds and you's can not give a date when we can change plans?

I'v emailed you's about all this and still no reply, So now im going to TPG Internet Unlimited downloads 8Mbps/384K for $69. Im just not happy with Exetel service anymore..
In most cases there would be higher download limits or faster plans available than an existing user has now, any new plans upcoming might improve on the offers but it doesn't mean there are no options available now

understand your frustration but even if a new plan were available straight away it wouldn't apply until the following month, I won't say always but often when new plans have become available they are made available for new applications but transfers are sometimes not catered to until the following month, regardless when new plans are coming there are requirements to be met, contractual, system changes etc and things take time

Let him go. I'm sure "you's" could do with a break from those posts.

Personally, I think it's better to say you can't give a date as was done here than to state a date you might not be able to deliver on.
