Yes, you will have to wait till the next billing cycle for the plan to come in to effect - which would be the 28th of August 2011/1st of September 2011.
I have been advised by someone who has more technical knowledge than I do that there will be no downtime as you already have a plan that is on the Exetel AAPT Network.
