Plan Upgrade Questions

I have had a standalone ADSL service for years now with Exetel.

Why, if I upgrade my plan to 'unlimited', do I have to bundle it with telephone for $59.99 per month? There appears to be no way to opt out of this bundling.

At the same time a new customer can sign up for an 'unlimited' plan, is NOT required to bundle it with telephone if they choose not to and gets it cheaper at $49.99 per month.

Yes, if you upgrade to a new plan you will need to bundle up the telephone line.

As you know, the new plans were initially offered for new Exetel broadband customers only. We have now made the plans and pricing available to existing customers by negotiating further with our suppliers. However, unfortunately we are unable to allow standalone upgrades to these fantastic plans. This is the deal we have negotiated with our suppliers and this is the only way we could ensure that we could pass on our amazing pricing to our loyal customer base. We hope you understand.
