Not very helpful Outage Notification

I found notifications such as this is not very informative at all:
Planned Network Maintenance - ADSL and ADSL2+ NSW

Event Notification

Work Description : Exetel will be performing a network maintenance during this outage window

Start Date & Time : 26 November 2014 - 01:00AM AEDT Australian Eastern Daylight Time: (UTC+11)
Finish Date & Time : 26 November 2014 - 06:00AM AEDT Australian Eastern Daylight Time: (UTC+11)

Impact : Some ADSL and ADSL2+ customers in NSW will experience two 10 minute outages during this maintenance window.
"Some" is a very vague word. It does not specify the geographical area or the carrier affected. I would like to plan around such outages if I am more certain that my connection is going to be affected. It is very disruptive to have the connection dropped in the middle of interactive work.
