Usernames guide

Further to my previous post, are there some guidelines here as to acceptable usernames for the forum.
For the 'Members Facility' my email address is fine, for the Exemail/webmail my email address is also fine,
so for consistency and simplicity I tried to change my username for this forum to my email address too,
but I was not successful.

Unfortunately, cannot use the email address as the username for the forum.
