Unable to connect using supplied netcomm NB16wv-02 modem

Post by cdelrosaro » Sat Aug 01, 2015 11:09 am

Hi

I recently signed up for Exetel Openetworks Fibre connection and ordered the Netcomm N600 NB16WV-02 as recommended and supplied by Exetel for fibre/adsl connections.

I have tried the wizard set-up and also manually entering the details as per the email sent to me but still cannot connect.

I am currently using a modem supplied as a loan by Openetworks and this is working fine

Any help on setting up the modem?

Thanks

This problem might be like the other router problem today. The device contains a modem, but must be used as a router with fibre, with the modem section disabled. Use the WAN config, and connect via PPPoE.

I'm quite the newbie when it comes to setting up the modem, I'll have a play around and try the WAN config before I contact technical support

I'm assuming all the settings as per the DNS etc etc are the same ?

Thanks,

DNS and IP addresses should be obtained automatically. Mainly router should be configured for a PPPoE connection.
