Configuration for Huwaei HG630

Post by alfrap » Sat Mar 23, 2019 2:29 pm

My NV4F appears to have died so while I'm trying to sort that out, I have a spare modem (HG630) that I am trying to temporarily set up on my Exetel FTTN service.
I have been able to establish the DSL connection, but the internet light wont come on. I guess its a configuration issue, so wondering if any exetel staff or other users can assist.
Thanks

Hi

We are not in a position to advice nor guide for third party modems especially for FTTN services, as we cannot guarantee the service due to NBN compatibility restrictions. However the basic setting that are required would be the following.

WAN connection type - FTTN/VDSL
WAN connection mode - PPP Over Ethernet (PPPoE)
VLAN option for your connection: No VLAN Tag (PPPoE with no VLAN Tag)
DSL Transfer modem : PTM
Username : Provided by Exetel
Password : Provided by Exetel

Thanks
