Modem setup for NDSL

Post by thomas261989 » Thu Sep 11, 2008 11:16 am

Would it be the same as modem setup for ADSL1? Is my username is my phone number which has been disconnected for NDSL activation?
I didn't buy the modem I have, it was left by the previous tenant when he moved out and its default setting seems to be British. I'm not an IT expert so may I ask:
1) Is multiplexing in Australia LLC or VC?
2) The modem default setting is PPPoA, should I change it to PPPoE?

The username and password would be the standard (phonenumber)@[state].exetel.com.au / password would be (phonenumber) followed by the first 2 letters of your street name in caps.

Eg. Living on Alfred street in NSW

0298765432@nsw.exetel.com.au
0298765432AL

The best settings are LLC and PPPoE
