Naked ADSL application rejected - what next?

Post by FunkBrother » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:53 am

Hi,

I've recently applied for Naked ADSL and recieved a rejection notice as follows.

<quote>
Telstra Rejects Your Application For ADSL 2008-09-29
Reason Telstra Cannot Connect ADSL To Your Line Please be advised that your application for this product has been rejected as your local exchange does not support the infrastructure our supplier uses to deliver this kind of service. There is currently no ETA if your local exchange will become supported for this product.
</quote>

I'm unsure what to do next. Does this message mean I can' get ADSL with Exetel at all? I have only recently moved into the house and had the line activated, would this have any impact on the rejection? The exchange is enabled for several other providers but I want to sign up with Exetel.

I checked the ADSL availability my line with on the Telstra website and it said that initial checks indicated ADSL was available. I'm on the Weston Creek (Canberra) exchange.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Cheers.
