ADSL2 suppliers other than Optus possible in Concord?

Post by mac-col » Tue Feb 03, 2009 2:13 pm

Is it possible to get the Exetel ADSL2+ service in Concord NSW (CONC) via a supplier other than Optus? I keep being knocked back due to the fact Optus don't have equipment at the Concord exchange. (Probably want to force me to buy cable).

Broadband Choice shows Exetel offering Naked ADSL etc through other ISPs, so is there anyway of doing this and still remain with Exetel?
I don't want to swap ISPs unless I really have to.

Thanks.

"Your phone line 02 XXXXXXXX is connected To CONC exchange, which is ADSL2 enabled. we are able to provide ADSL2 for your premises."

This message is why I tried to change my service last week, but got knocked back cos Optus doesn't have equipment at my exchange. I'm confused.

Thanks.

Cheers

The none phone plans are provided using Powertel/AAPT, not Optus.

Hi James,

The no phone 'naked plan' was what I was after. Did I use the wrong application form?

Thanks.

Cheers

No phone is not the same as Naked - no phone means you keep your landline with the current provider, that should be available to you according to the test you pasted.
