Seems to be slightly improved compared to yesterday!
Wonder why I am not getting more then 355kb/sec? when I am only 3 blocks from the Exchange??
I've re-set the modem etc.. hoping to maybe get a better connection to the line, but it's still the same? is there a reason? I used to get way more then that!!

I've updated the supplier with everyone who has PM'ed from Hamilton.
If there are others, please ensure you perform 3 speed tests from
http://www.exetel.com.au/speed (as this helps demonstrate the speeds to the supplier).

Is there anyone on the Wolfe Exchange getting slower speeds like myself? The Wolfe exchange is quite close to the Hamilton exchange, should i PM you my number as well JasonM?
Its almost 8pm and my connection is starting to slow.. Was 10mbps its now 2mbps from the exetel speed test. Will update more as the night goes on (and inevitably my connection gets slower).
UPDATE: Didn't take long... did these at 8:20pm.

Anyone else still experiencing these problems? Browsing is sub-Dialup speed and I can't even come close to streaming low-quality audio... pretty pathetic.
I'm getting really sick of consistently having to work to ensure my connection can come close to anywhere near the speed I should be getting. I can understand that internet provision is not just an on and off thing, but it seems like every single month the onus is on me to provide speed tests or get a complaint ticket just to restore my service to a tolerable level.

Hi all,
I just did more speed tests this morning and here are a couple of my results:
SpeedTest.Net.jpg
ExetelSpeedTest.jpg
These results are pretty close to the maximum speed i usually get, so it appears the problem may have been fixed.
I'll test again after lunch during peak time and post again if things have changed (hopefully you wont hear from me again lol).
Thanks

Tox mate, I'm with you, as soon as I seen your post, I gave mine a test, was at the same speeds as you.. now it's dead in the arse big time, starting to get shitty with exetel been with them for quite a number of years, now all these issues, an takes ages to get fixed! Might head over to a different ISP! Just like vodafone, shit cover now with them, might have to change!

I'm not currently sure of a timeframe, this issue has progressed to a similar issue outlined here:
http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.ph ... 33#p235133
I've escalated both these issues within our supplier today, being a weekend, I wouldn't expect a miracle.
I am currently awaiting more progress information on both speed issues.

What about optus on the Wolfe exchange JasonM? My three speed tests are above, im connected at 13.5mbit, and can achieve 10mbit on the speed test during the day on weekdays.

Sorry Jason I still keep timing out on the Exetel speed test. Although, my connection seemed to come good earlier this afternoon, and then reverted back to shitness after half an hour or so. Thought I'd let you know in case its helpful.

Forky, I can find a planned outage for 23/02 - 24/02 to upgrade Wolfe exchange with additional backhaul. This is an OPTUS outage, and isn't related to Hamilton exchange, or the slow speeds reported by others in this thread.

Still getting results similar to others in the thread. Thanks for escalating, Jason.
