I hope that date is DD/MM/YYYY not MM/DD/YYYY :P. That's excellent news, maybe all that pressure that was put on them made them move it up a little.

once its fixed if one of the affected people would like to post and say so that would be good. i'll hang on to adsl1 until i know for sure its going to be good. i think i would have virtual suffocation if i was having the kind of speed issues described.

Hello,
I have just checked my May invoice, and I haven't been credited with the $100 compensation. I am one of the ones connected to one of the affected Wallsend DSLAMs, and I did receive the email from Exetel late last month regarding the compensation.
Invoice number of my may invoice is E0002152424
Thank you for any assistance.
Andrew

Hi Andrew

You will need to send an email to billing@exetel.com.au regarding this - individual customers' billing issues cannot be addressed on a Forum.

If you've already emailed Billing and the auto-responder email sent you here, simply reply to that email to re-open the ticket and someone in Billing will look into the matter for you.

Did you receive an email indicating you would receive the $100 credit? If so - email billing@exetel.com.au, so they can look into it.

Billing are a little busy at this time of month, give it a few days for them to action your ticket, and if you haven't received a reply, let us know.

Any word on whether the planned upgrade will be happening today?

Hopefully their date of 11th May was for a late night upgrade / early 12th May as I just ran a couple of speed tests from Exetel and they're coming back as 14-17KB/s when my modem sync's at 11.6Mbps! Hopefully this time tomorrow I will have better figures to report.

For anyone that is interested, it looks like some or all of the "repairs" have taken place. As reported by PingPlotter, last night my connection experienced 100% packet loss between 11:32pm and 2:33am (without dropping out) and since my service was returned, I have not lost a single packet, and pings to the Exetel DNS are sitting at ~30ms.

The real test will be the afternoons when the kiddies and workers get home, but so far it looks positive.

I've been getting decent consistent speeds all night so things are looking good......at last :D

Let's all hope it stays this way.
