PPPoE & /29 fixed IP configuration

Post by darylp » Sat Jul 18, 2009 2:33 pm

I'ved ordered a /29 network range.

Now I've been told this range is in addition to my existing PPPoE login on my ADSL2+ service.

How do I configure my NetComm NB6Plus4W to work with the PPPoE & /29 network range services.

Currently the NB6Plus4W is in bridge mode & the PPPoE is done by a ClarkConnect CentOS box.
How could I configure the NB6Plus4W to allow the /29 network range & pass the PPPoE?

Take a look at "Advanced" -> "Internet" -> Connections.

You might be able to setup a VLAN for each additional IP, which you could then NAT them to the internal IP of the target machine.

Unfortunately, the Netcomm Emulator online isn't complete in this area, so if you have difficulties, can you please supply screenshots of the options in the Advanced pages?

Actually.. If you left it with ClarkConnect, you could then setup the additional interfaces on that machine (as eth0:1, eth0:2) - and then use iptables to direct the traffic to the internal IPs they are targetted.
