Cancelling a "Move ADSL2 Service Request"

Post by MikeTurner » Mon Aug 03, 2009 9:17 pm

I applied to move my ADSL 2 service, and it got rejected because the address at the new location was not letter perfect (although I think it was).

How do I cancel this request, because I want to move the service when I finally figure out the correct address at the new place. If my current ADSL2 service is cancelled, I wont be able to transfer it.

Does this make sense?

Email provisioning@exetel.com.au with the address, and they might be able to correct it (or withdraw the relocation, so you can submit another).

I did this a week or so ago.

But just now I got an email from Exetel advising me that it was still going ahead.

What do I need to do to cancel the request and get things stopped?

I want to transfer over the ADSL2 service but need to wait until my new residence's phone line is cancelled (the peopel who live there now)

Hi Mike,

It would be best to email paulp@exetel.com.au and advise him of the situation, he should be able to assist you.

Well, not happy at all.

The date I asked to cancel my current request was 17 Sep, but for some reason they are doing it tomorrow, even though my user facilities still says 17 Sep.

THis means no ADSL for a month, greater cost, because my new service will be rejected. Greater cost from Telstra, because it wont go through as a transer, because I wont have current service to transfer.

And my email send 3 Aug now they cant find. Not happy at all.

Looks like they will offer HSPA, which is nice. Well done.
