Internet connection down in Charlestown NSW

Internet is out, although I am able to access my webmail page and these forums obviously.

It would appear that the external Bandwidth dropped, and is still drapped.

The optus IP is currently showing only 900mbps of the normal averafe 2,444mbps

Its not only you. Im also down in Dapto - NSW. I can still get to youtube. MSN is unavailable as well

Kinda spotty here in Wollongong too. Can get to some sites like google search but most are not available. Traceroute dies at an exetel ip.

Same here, seems like only half the internet is working
All google & its derivatives seem to work..yet very few other sites are working..

Down in Sydney, naked ADSL2+
Only Google, whirlpool, youtube and extel sites still work.

Yep, down in Winston Hills as well, assuming its down around this area. Hopefully this gets sorted out within half an hour, I wanna talk to my friend...

Lost all international traffic in Sydney for about 7 mins... all good now though

It would appear to be an issue with the optus IP links they are running poorly at the moment,

The Verizon link seems to have picked up some of the slack in the mean time, but I can only guess that until it is fixed (the Optus Link) we will all have degraded service.
