Shaping Confusion???

Post by nickdrewe » Tue Sep 21, 2010 9:17 pm

I have no idea what is going on. I just went over my peak quota and got the following message on the blocked page:
You elected to be shaped rather than charged for downloads that exceed your included download allowance in either peak and/or off peak periods. There is an allowance of 2GB to use for light browsing in the shaped period, before excess usage charges of $6 per GB (or part thereof) will apply.
I never selected this option. This thread viewtopic.php?f=303&t=36802&p=280814&hi ... $6#p280814 seems to indicate that it's an old shaping option that should have never been applied to my account.

The shaping option I selected in my account is for:
Shaping will allow you to download up to 50% of your peak allowance after which your plan will automatically revert to charged at 50 cents per gigabyte downloaded in the peak period with no option to change back to shaped.
The account page says this is the default shaping option.

I even made sure this option was selected by submitting the over quota option form when I switched to this plan:
Service Number Request Date Request Status Access Charge After Included Peak Download
0733923895 2010-07-29 13:59:57 ACTIVE Shaped to 512kbps
Can someone please fix this for me. As far as I can tell, I should be shaped to 512kb for 50% of my peak quota, then $0.50/GB.

My service number is: 0733923895

This is obviously an issue for more than one customer:

Thank you.
