ADSL1 8192/384 plans not in Memeber's Facilities

Post by coconutdog » Tue Oct 26, 2010 12:09 pm

I went to change my 1500/256 TL-C1 plan to the new 8192/384 T8192-A plan via the Member's Facilities page and it doesn't appear there.
The only ones there are the old TE-x series of 8192/384 plans.
Is it possible to change to this plan some other way?

Cheers,

Matt.

Have patience.

It is Exetel policy to make new plans available only to new users initially to iron out any minor issues with relatively few applicants before making them available to currant users which if attarrctive enough will undoubtedly result in a flood of applications. I am not sure if this is a change in policy, but have noticed quite a few similar posts to this.

My understanding is that the forum is a place where members can find answers based on the experience of others, the OP getting the answers from redidentialsales@exetel.com.au or residentialsupport@exetel.com.au does not do this.

I've noticed it too, but there have only been a handful of instances.

I must admit that the attraction to posting in an "unofficial forum" is that it gives a rapid, non-official response to queries. Restricting such "contact Exetel" posts to cases where there are extenuating circumstance, or contractual questions would be the better practice, but for posts like this, there would seem no reason to redirect the poster to official email avenues.

Can I get an update on this also.

I wish to change to the new unlimited 8mbit plan as its $10 less than I'm paying now and was hoping to do so before the end of the month and yet the plans aren't available from the members facilities.

We have always done that because of the issues involved.
Or you can contact Exetel via residentialsales@exetel.com.au and see if it is possible to submit a plan change request via email.
