Also wanted to add that I've restarted my modem several times with no changes to speed.

When did your plan change?

The last line in the confirmation email entitled Exetel Has Received Your Change ADSL Plan Request says:
Any change in speed may not come in to effect until the second working day of the month .
So you may need to wait a few working days for the line speed to change.

I'm currently waiting for my line speed to change over, can't wait! :D

The plan changes have been completed but the speed changes will be completed only by next week on or before Wednesday 04th May 2011.

This delay is due to the Easter break and Telstra is currently clearing their backlog.

Would I be looking at the same delay? My plan changed over from ADSL1 to ADSL2 on 28 April.

As Theje mentioned, lets keep an eye on this and hopefully the change will get affected on our supplier equipment within this week.

last month I applied to transfer from ADSL 1 8000k to ADSL2 - about 2 weeks later I rec a reply that no change could be made due to technical reasons (not given) I am on the Thirroul exchange where Telstra has ADSL2 but I don't think Optus does.
