ADSL1 to ADSL2+ changeover

Post by nato » Mon Oct 03, 2011 3:08 pm

Hi, I've just changed from an ADSL1 plan to a ADSL2+ (with telephone) plan and I'm wondering how long it normally takes to get an increase in speed. My new plan was activated on the 28th of september but i'm still running at 1536/256Kbps. I have checked my modem settings and everything seems to be set up correctly. My modem is saying that i have an attainable line rate of over 10000Kbps. Anyone got any ideas?

I have already created a ticket (4475133) and passed it to the relevant department for further investigations. We'll get back to you as soon as possible with an update. :)

Hi stevecj, I have the exact same problem as nato, I changed over to ADSL2 this month, I received the email from exetel on 1/10 to confirm the new plan had been activated, however, my line speed is still only connecting at 1536/256.

I too have checked modem settings and have tried connecting with just ADSL2 setting, and there is no connection. I have restarted my modem several times and reconnected to no avail.

How many 'working' days does it normally take to be activated?

Thanks.

I have checked this with the provisioning dept and the speeds should be upgraded by close of business tomorrow.

I have checked the records and still service seems to be connected with ADSL1 1.5M settings :(.

We will investigate the incident with our wholesale supplier and provide you an update first thing tomorrow morning.

I have just got an update from the provisioning department and the speed change is still pending and it is due to be completed by close of business 11/10.

The reason for this delay is that the port needs to be changed in order to provide the ADSL2 service. Also there will be a small down time when this is in progress. I will follow this up and update you once it is completed.
