Sydney/Newcastle ADSL down
I have a number of ADSL lines in Sydney and Newcastle that are offline. Is there a network issue?

Down here in Dural exchange in Sydney
Nothing showing in the network status page but no connection for me
I can't recall seeing any notification of a planned outage

Yes - backup here now as well
Have to say it was nice to have an easy backup option - using tethering on my WP7 handset and Exetel mobile - painless outages for me these days...

Re: Sydney/Newcastle ADSL down
Thanks
I thought I'd seen something somewhere but couldn't find an email on it
I did look at the Network status page but it was showing all green - it would be useful if there was a link from that page to a "scheduled outage" listing

Re: Sydney/Newcastle ADSL down
Nucopia, if you cannot ping 192.168.1.1 or see the modem/router config page, it's your router or your computer network card that has gone down. That ping should work, even when the ADSL is down. Try a modem power cycle, then a computer reboot, and see if it improves things.

Happy New Year

That's a good idea - I have passed your suggestion on to Exetel - I've suggested that a link directly to
viewforum.php?f=296
would do the trick.
Cheers

Exetel are so responsive
A couple of weeks ago I needed to add a new mobile service - so I asked if the Z plans could return - lo and behold they were offered again within 48 hours of me asking (coincidence I know but lets not spoil a good story!)
Now this
Even though they are significantly bigger than when we joined in 2004 they still maintain a responsiveness to customers that continues to differntiate them from their competition
