Same here (ticket 4869055). Seems to be easy enough to fix temporaily, so presumably the problem is understood?

i would like to believe that but its highly unlikely...im still waiting for an explanation, and im still waiting for my internet access!!

Running tracert it seems to drop after 5.2.233.220.static.exetel.com.au

...not sure if that's useful to anyone though

Edit: and back up.... So what happened?

Mine has been out since 9pm also. One and a half hours so far. Funny thing is, my brother wanted to get some print out to go to the USA. worst timing ever :P

Our supplier experienced an unplanned outage in WA last evening.

It is now resolved. If any one still experience issues with your service please PM me your service number and I will investigate.

Seems to have dropped again. Looking at the WA Optus graphs in the members facilities, it looks to have dropped of. This is very similar to the previous dropouts that I have been experiencing. The exception is the time that it has occurred. So what happened this time?

Edit: I see the unplanned outage post now.... Bugger

This is the third week in a row that these outages have occurred. Odd that they call them "unplanned" when they seem to be timed exactly the same and are on non-work days. For the past two weeks my connection has been out at 6:30am on Sunday, and for the third week it's 6:30am Monday (a public holiday).

I don't mind if upgrades need to be done and such, but calling it unplanned seems a bit disingenuous.

The outage has now been restored :)

Please power cycle the modem if you are still having browsing issues , services should be restored
