Telstra ADSL2
Telstra ADSL2
Hi all.
I am currently connected to a Tealstra Rim and it has been bought to my attention that it has been upgraded to offer ADSL2.
I am currently on adsl1 with exetel.
I have searched and searched but cant find any info if Exetel use Telstra for adsl2 anymore.
All I see is AAPT in the user fascility for upgrading.
So can I get ADSL2 though exetel on a telstra adsl2 enabled rim?
Thanks in advance.
Geoff

Re: Telstra ADSL2
Yes they do.
Here is the link:
http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_adsl_wide.php
they no longer differentiate between adsl1 and adsl2 as far as pricing goes they are both the same price now. They both also come with a 12 month contract.

Re: Telstra ADSL2
So would I be wrong to asume that the fact that I see only AAPT ADSL2 in my user fascility, that it also means Telstra?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Telstra ADSL2
Currently, we are having a promotion for upgrades from Telstra to AAPT. This is the reason why the Telstra ADSL2 plans are not available in the members area. We will be updating the members area after July.geoffyboy wrote:So would I be wrong to asume that the fact that I see only AAPT ADSL2 in my user fascility, that it also means Telstra?

Re: Telstra ADSL2
Ok.
I just got rejected on the upgrade.
Which I knew I would if it were going through aapt/powertell. As I am not connected directly to the exchange.
Speaking to the woman on the phone the first time that I rang seems to have been a waste of time.
The second time was also useless.
All I want to know is if Exetel are still able to supply ADSL2 on the Telstra equipment.
I am on a RIM and it have been lead to believe it has been enabled for adsl2 by Telstra.. Hence why I am asking.
By not having anyway to see in the user pages is driving me insane. ( No option to apply for anything other than the specials.)
Even on the phone they just wanted to tell me about the aapt option.???
I would not have thought it this difficult to get a simple answer.
I have had no issues with exetel in the last 7 years of being here. What has changed?
So how do I apply for TELSTRA ADSL2?
Thanks
Geoff

Hi All,
In the same situation as the OP, and a little up the road...
Only being offered the AAPT ADSL2 option in the Manage services options, but really need to be able to choose Telstra...
Any help to move to a Telstra ADSL2 plan would be well recieved..
Many thanks.
Nick
