Unplanned ADSL outage NSW 11:30am

Internet service disappears and I check modem and it says ADSL is active but username and password is incorrect.

Cycle modem and again after ADSL becomes active get username and password is incorrect.

Tether and check Exetel website - no planned or unplanned outages listed.

Ring Exetel and while in queue ADSL reconnects - did not change anything in modem.

Wait for support and ask why they cannot put the outage on the website when the incident occurs rather than posting a message some 8.5 hours after it is fixed like they did with last Tuesday night.

Support rep claims they are too busy fixing issue to post updated status to website and obviously still too busy 15 mins after the service has been restored.

Perhaps a marketing/account rep could make the "We are experience problems post", so we know that problem is being looked at, rather than keeping us in the dark and wondering if it is a problem at our end or Exetel's. Just a thought.

They finally posted something. Yeah!

Two unplanned outages since Monday. Any explanations as to why?

As I stated in the first post - it reconnected and was working.

Disappeared again at 1:10pm with same username password problem.

Same issue as peter_mcc who I believe is St Leonards exchange and I am on Homebush exchange.

Posting via mobile.

Exetel status "no known issues".

and 10 mins later "Telephony Unplanned ADSL outage - NSW - Resolved " except that is the 11:30am incident. Cycled modem, same username password issue @ 1:30pm.

Please fix it

Now working on services connected to Homebush and Penrith exchanges after being down for over an hour.

Still down in Wollongong and friend "Karl" at Sth Penrith still cannot authenticate as at 6.07pm 17/05/2013
