ADSL Plan Change (Old User)

Post by Mano » Mon Sep 15, 2014 10:02 am

Hey Guys,

I noticed in the members facility you can only change your existing plan to a bundle of phone & internet.

Is there a way that a user over 8-9 years could get a plan change without the home phone bundle? I don't like the idea of canceling my existing connection and then re-signing up! Let alone I need access to the internet everyday to access my online cloud for work, emails, my suppliers etc... plus reading everyone issues in how long it takes to re-connect. I cannot afford time offline!

Otherwise it might be easier for me to change after all this time to another provider so there is no loss of connection

Hi Mano,

We appreciate your loyalty and we hope you have enjoyed your service and competitive pricing Exetel has offered year on year.

We have worked tirelessly with the wholesale suppliers to ensure that the best possible plans and pricing are passed on to our existing customers.

As these new lower price plans are so very competitively priced along with valuable benefits of ANYTIME downloads, FREE uploads, short 12 MONTH contract and competitive phone call rates, we only offer access to them when you bundle your telephone line rental with Exetel.

Is there a particular reason that you would not be willing to transfer your telephone line over to Exetel?

Your feedback is appreciated. :)

Regards,
Bella.

Hi Bella,

Reason for not transferring would be that our current provider still has cheaper rates then what Exetel has to offer for the phone. I guess saves a little with the plan being cheaper + line rental.

Who would the new network provider be if a transfer was to happen??

If there is currently a silent number in place with out existing provider, does this stay the same with the transfer? or is it an additional cost to keep it? (I had a look and couldn't see this option, should I make the change)

Hi Mano,

Exetel use the Telstra infrastructure for the telephone services and the monthly fee for silent number is $3.50.
