I've had PPP dropouts/no authentication this morning (6:30am-10am) and this evening (5pm-8:30pm) from the Campbelltown exchange on Optus hardware. I had ADSL sync the entire time and there were no modem setting or line changes on my end. My line attenuation numbers were the same as always. While submitting the fault ticket to Exetel, I also tested two modems and line isolation with no change.
Exetel did not detect any problems on the line during the evening fault and have submitted a request to the wholesaler.
Has anyone else on the Campbelltown exchange had authentication issues today (10/04/15)?

We have received confirmation that the service is now online and as such will be closing the escalated issue. The authentication has dropped out again at around 5:45pm today. Despite several power cycles, it is not gaining authentication.
As on Friday, there have been no changes on my end whatsoever.

Also the same as Friday, my modem log says "Error: ppp0 Timeout waiting for PADO packets"

And it's now back on and authenticating at 8:40pm.

The authentication has dropped out again in the early morning and has not reconnected, as of 10am.
To be thorough, I have repeated the isolation tests & tested two modems and still no change.
While performing the tests, I plugged in a corded phone (we normally use a cordless phone) and there was definitely some static on the line.

It's 12:30pm and it is only just now authenticating properly, again with no changes on my end.
Exetel, can you determine why this is happening?
