Saturday Night 8:56pm and complete crap connection. 10000ms + ping

Came good after 15 mins.

Checked all incoming and outgoing traffic, pretty much nothing going on.

I'm really getting sick of this.

and again tonight at 10pm. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Is this with the gaming server or with general browsing?

As stated before t is with all Blizzard gaming servers.

Also seems to be happening to internet connections to the US in general. Local browsing is OK.

Happens almost the same time everyday. 9pm to 10pm. I'm usually off by 11 pm but by then there is usually no problem.

Now that I see that other post about congestion issues I see there is something going on with Exetel that is disconnecting me at the same time everyday and persists for about 1 hour.

9pm everyday without fault for the last 1-2 weeks?

Thing is I am not even downloading at that time. All I am trying to do is stay connected to a server and when connected have decent ping. A server that inst requesting much data at all but like any online game requires good ping.

Last night (Monday) was good, got a slight hiccup at around 9pm but it didn't disconnect and my ping remained stable.

I will add that I am also in wollongong ( altho I think I connect to the corrimal exchange ).

I do alot of online gaming and every day for the past week my connection to kixeyes servers has been non existent during peak hours.

I can very nearly time when its going to go down (midday) and come back again (11pm). During these hours I get zero connection to the gaming servers. pinging them is fine, tracert to them completes all the hops. monitoring ports that are connected shows some connections to the servers (amazon aws) but no connections to any cloudfront servers.

Your connection speeds appear to be slow (sync rates). This would explain the above.

We will have to investigate this further. You will have to check the status of the dial tone on your land line as it may be noisy.

I will drop you an e-mail on your nominated e-mail address with what needs to be done. Reference number : 9087549

Hello lasithah

Seems to be a lot better. Last Thurs and Friday I didn't have any disconnections or lag around 8-11pm so I'm happy. Will be playing tonight also so I will give you an update that that also.

Sounds similar to my problem.. but mine kicks in at 3:45PM and lasts until 1030PM. Base ping increases, plus spiking and packetloss. So pretty much when I actually want to use my connection for gaming I can't. This is with me purposely not using the net for any downloading, videos etc..
