Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
I have a number of Sydney ADSL sites that went down in the early hours of this morning (Cronulla, Bondi, Manly). Is there an outage occurring?
Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
Seems to be.
I've already reported that my service in Bondi has been out for several hours, and I can also add that my son's service, in Glebe, is also down.
What's happening please, Exetel?

Frenchs Forest down as well.

Same here, down in Hornsby since around 00:34 this morning. PPP has dropped out, but ADSL sync is ok.
It's been 7 hours now, could we have an update please Exetel?

Same here at NRYD.
ADSL sync but no Auth. Is RADIUS down again?
On a interesting note, calling support goes to a voice mail that says "press hash to leave a message", but pressing hash ends the call. I think it should say "leave a message and press hash when finished"

As we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know.

Same here. Since at least 1am.
Lack of replies is a little worrying. Maybe the forum admins can't get online because their Exetel DSL is down.
Be interesting to see the network graphs to see how much traffic is actually getting passed as an indicator of how many services are affected. Except Exetel decided a while ago I didn't need to see that information anymore and removed it from their site. I miss the transparency of the old Exetel.

Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
More concerning to me is that Exetel Support doesn't open until 8:30am each day (as I just found out when I tried to phone support).

Down in Orange as well.
Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
I have multiple sites down too.
Campsie/Canterbury and Liverpool.

Great, waited on phone, spoke to someone who was to transfer me to support, only to be greeted by a Hangup..
Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
Same here. Woy Woy 2256. Tried to ring support but was 36th in the queue so I gave up
2nd time in recent weeks. Exetel seems to be going downhill.

"You are called number 49, waiting to speak to a team member. The estimated wait time is six minutes".
I've been on hold for twelve minutes (of which the entire time it's repeated the "wait time is six minutes" phrase).
I think someone needs to check the wait time estimate calculations. At this rate you'd need to attend to one caller every seven seconds.

Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
They've acknowledged the issue, but only detail is "waiting for update from supplier"

Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
Our ADSL service is out this morning in Wollongong. Message on Exetel telephone support says engineers are working on a problem to restore service. Since I was caller 52 in the queue I guess there are a lot of issues and I'm not waiting that long!
Re: Multiple Sydney ADSL sites down
Finally, after more than 8 hours. Don't they have network engineering monitoring outside of business hours?Mort wrote:They've acknowledged the issue, but only detail is "waiting for update from supplier"https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=296&t=42979
